The divorce rate among older couples has skyrocketed during the last two decades in the U.S. Reports show that the divorce rate among baby boomers has doubled in the last 20 years, with one in four divorces involving people over the age of 50.

More women are getting divorced in the U.S. and staying single, according to a new study by Bowling Green State University's National Center for Marriage and Family Research. The study reported that 15 percent of women in the country are currently divorced or separated.
