To win a contentious custody dispute or secure a favorable ruling in a complex property division case, you need a “devil is in the details” divorce attorney like Samantha M. Wommack. Often described as prompt, professional and compassionate, Samantha’s clients applaud her strong, no-nonsense demeanor in the courtroom, as well as her willingness to dig deep to uncover critical pieces of evidence that help ensure positive outcomes for her clients.
According to the Sisemore Law Firm’s founder Justin Sisemore, “Samantha is very meticulous and organized. She’s one of my go-to attorneys for complex and high-net-worth cases because she excels at strategy and makes sure all assets are defined, valued and traced. From explaining the big picture to homing in on essential details, Samantha does a terrific job walking clients through the process and presenting evidence in court.”
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Samantha grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area from the age of 7, where she attended private schools prior to college. While she didn’t initially plan to pursue a career in family law, Samantha always knew she wanted to be a lawyer, even as a young child.
Samantha graduated from Austin College in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and political science. Immediately afterwards, she was accepted into law school at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, where she earned her Doctor of Law degree in 2012. Since joining the Sisemore Law Firm as an intern in 2011, Samantha’s passion for family law has continued to grow.
As she explains, “What really made me enjoy practicing family law was realizing how much good we can do for people. I always tell clients that we are dealing with the most important things in their lives—their kids and their money. It’s gratifying to make a difference in both of those aspects and help people change how they view what’s most important in their life. That’s what gives me purpose.”
When Samantha isn’t busy practicing family law, her life revolves around her kids. The mother of three boys, including two stepsons, says, “I love being a boy mom! On the weekends, we literally play sports from the moment we wake up until we go to sleep. My sons play football and basketball, so we’re constantly at sporting events.” Samantha and her husband also enjoy traveling, playing tennis, working out and being active with their community and country club.
